The Marvel Cinematic Universe on screen might be a franchise filled with legendary battles and thrilling adventures, but behind the scenes, it is an epic family of actors who have forged a strong bond thanks to their time together in the superhero franchise. While there are many memorable friendships and bonds, Anthony Mackie and Tom Holland too share an adorable bond.
Part of their friendship is often taking subtle digs at each other, every chance they get, leading to a playful rivalry that was born in 2018. And now Mackie, has a a humorous message for Holland’s girlfriend, Zendaya, taking their friendly feud to another level.
Anthony Mackie is Not Over Tom Holland’s Cruel Jab
Anthony Mackie was introduced as Falcon in the MCU in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Since then, he has gone on to become a memorable part of the Marvel-verse, and will now be handling the Captain America mantle in the upcoming film, Captain America: Brave New World. As exciting and elating as it is for Mackie, the actor is not over his friendly feud with fellow Marvel star, Tom Holland.
Back in 2018, while at ACE’s Comic-Con event, Holland had poked fun at Mackie for not having a standalone Falcon film after Mackie stated he hadn’t watched Spider-Man: Homecoming (via YouTube). Since then, the duo has kept the feud alive, pulling each others’ legs every chance they get. Even after the release of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Holland did not stop and called Mackie out for not having a ‘Falcon’ movie (via ComicBook.com).
Mackie too did not stop there and when his movie was announced he humorously stated to EW that he would be making sure Holland gets some front-row seats to watch the film. Now, taking the hilarious banter even further, Mackie in an interview with IGN even brought Holland’s girlfriend, Zendaya into the feud by stating,
I’m excited for Tom Holland to see my movie. He’s my date to the premiere. Zendaya, whatever you need to do, come with your friend or something. But [Tom’s] coming with me. He’s gonna sit right there. He’s gonna watch the movie, and I’m gonna watch him watch the movie, and then I’m gonna get feedback.
Although Tom Holland is yet to respond to the funny jibe, we might expect a reply soon. But so far, netizens are having fun about their friendly beef and can’t wait to see more of it in the future.

Anthony Mackie and Tom Holland first shared the screen in Captain America: Civil War, and since then they seemed to have become the best of mates. In the many interviews following the release of Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, their pairing brought some of the funniest and most amusing moments to the screen.

As fans applaud Anthony Mackie for his never-ending snarky remarks, they also expressed a wish to see the duo reunite on the big screen. While such a feat might still be far off, it is hilarious to see the two stars keeping their beef alive even after all this time.
