It’s an exciting time to be a Fortnite player. On one hand, you have a gameplay loop that favors PvEvP scenarios and third-person action mechanics. On the other, you have a plethora of collabs for every kind of fan base.
This feeling finds its home in a surge of excitement, as recent sources have suggested the upcoming Disney event, D23, will likely reveal Fortnite’s upcoming season.
D23 Can Shine the Spotlight on Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4
Popular Fortnite leaker Shiina has revealed some exciting news on Twitter. Based on sources, the upcoming D23 event holds the possibility of unveiling the next season in the game.
According to Shiina, this will be the right opportunity since recent leaks have already suggested an upcoming Marvel collab. What better than an event hosted by Disney to let the world know about the upcoming roadmap for the game?

The event takes place on August 9, 10 and 11. Fortnite’s next season begins on August 16. This timeframe indeed looks to be a wonderful time for fans to take a sneak peek into all that’s coming to the game later this month.
Will the Next Season Be Marvel’s Comeback?
Exactly four years ago, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 arrived, and it was all about Marvel. Players could play as some of their favorite heroes from the comic books, and visit locations on the map dedicated to them.
Not only was the Battle Pass Marvel-themed, but gameplay items felt unique too, based on different superpowers fans were familiar with. Even though none of these Battle Pass outfits will ever come back (sadly), the new season can likely bring better variants of certain cosmetics.
The FINAL update of the current Fortnite season is now on staging servers and will be released on August 6 🔥

In four years, the game has taken a massive leap in gameplay mechanics and how certain systems work. For instance, now we have better movement and graphical overhauls, which weren’t a thing back then.
Keeping that in mind, the upcoming season is going to make the most use of Unreal Engine 5.5. Hopefully, Epic will also fix matchmaking problems and make the game more accessible for casual players.
