Now, after the groundbreaking success of his latest film, Shawn Levy sat for an interview with Total Film (via Games Radar) to discuss his future plans for Deadpool, if Marvel allows him to direct another installment. Chatting about other MCU projects that he would like to helm after Deadpool & Wolverine, Levy subtly dropped the idea of teaming up Peter Parker with Wade Wilson, in Deadpool 4.
The thing about Deadpool is I think he makes everything more interesting because of his audacity. But, boy, I’d sure love to see Deadpool and Spidey. That’s a movie I’d love to make. I feel like Tom Holland would run circles around everyone else.
Currently, with Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man 4 being in development a Deadpool and Spider-Man movie would be a perfect collaboration. Especially since we know the fourth sequel will be a rough ride for Holland (after Doctor Strange’s spell made everyone forget about him at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home), a collaboration with the Merc with a Mouth might actually be an epic team-up.
