EA’s Q1 2025 Earnings Call was held on July 30 and during the Q&A session, Stuart Canfield, the EVP and Chief Financial Officer of Electronic Arts talked about the company’s growth this year. He said something about the game that fans say narrows down the launch date. Here’s what Canfield said,

As we think about the full year, I’m reiterating, obviously, we’re literally four months into the year. We have both Madden, FC, and Dragon Age still ahead of us. We do expect by phasing to continue to show growth and build growth out through the full year.

He further added:

But obviously, we’ll look to come back in our next earnings once we get through those major releases at this point.

One fan has pointed out that the next earnings call is set for 29th October and Q3 begins on October 1. This could mean that the game may launch in October sometime.

Moreover, Canfield saying that the company will “look to come back” to the question in the next earnings call once it gets “through those major releases,” has fans speculating that it is releasing in October.

There are some who think that the game will be released in November because there are a few big releases in October such as Black Ops 6. Also, the last game in the franchise, Dragon Age: Inquisition also launched in November 2014 so fans think EA could try to repeat that with the upcoming title.

BioWare has confirmed via a blog post that it has planned to reveal the release date of Dragon Age: The Veilguard this month, alongside a new roadmap and more looks at the highly-anticipated title. This comes after EA listed the game to be launched in its financial Q3.

The developer had previously said that the game would launch in fall 2024 but the September launch is now out the window as the Q3 runs from October to December 2024. This further hints that they could actually launch in October as fans expect and there have also been reports stating the same.
