After showing the first trailer for Black Ops 6 at the Xbox Game Showcase in June, people were eager to see what Treyarch Studios planned for the Zombies mode. The next entry will have new features, like an omnidirectional movement system that lets players run, dive, and slide in any direction.

Activision has Mysterious Teasers For Black Ops 6

It was only recently when Activision started teasing the Zombies mode through the website, TheTruthDies.com. On the official Call of Duty Twitter account, a short video guides fans to this website.

A user on X highlighted one of these teasers, which gives us our first look at the Mr Peeks Gobblegum Machine.

Here, the community can flick through various channels to find new teasers for the zombie mode. Most channels display an “off-air” message, but a few select channels provide brief teasers. Currently, only two teasers are available on the website, but it seems more could be coming soon as marketing for the game ramps up even further.

Each active channel starts normally before turning scary, with menacing laughter and a grotesque bunny plushie appearing. The program menu shifts to show prisoners in cells who look normal but might be infected later. Fans speculate online that one of the two zombie maps that will be available is the prison setting when Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on October 25th later this year.

Back in May, before the official reveal of the next Call of Duty game, a teaser website called “The Truth Lies” was launched. Visitors could interact with a fake TV, finding brief videos hinting at the theme and vibe of Black Ops 6. The website has now been replaced by “The Truth Dies,” which is hinting at the zombie mode instead.

Returning to Round-Based Zombies

There’s still much to be revealed about Black Ops 6’s zombie mode, but some details are confirmed. Round-based Call of Duty zombies are making a return, a feature fans missed in last year’s Modern Warfare 3

This mode is highly requested by fans and adds a familiar and beloved element to the game. The first teaser confirms that the game will include two zombie maps: Terminus and Liberty Falls. The teaser video is hinting at the Terminus map again.

At the end of the zombie narrative in Black Ops Cold War, Requiem senior members had been arrested on the orders of Edward Richtofen. These characters, along with the new character Maya Aguinaldo, will play big roles in the Terminus map, if the speculation is to be believed.

Expectations are especially high for this game since this is the first Call of Duty to have a full four years of development, compared to the traditional three-year cycle. Modern Warfare 3, which wasn’t very well received, had less than 18 months of development.
