Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans: Marvel’s Dynamic Duo Ordered to Keep Their Distance on Set!
It turns out Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans—the golden boy and girl of the Marvel universe—were practically ordered to stay away from each other! The director of their first $10 million flick, The Perfect Score, straight-up told them, ‘Hands off!’
Both Johansson and Evans have been Hollywood’s favorite ‘will they, won’t they’ couple for ages. With nine movies under their belt and sizzling chemistry that could melt glaciers, it’s no wonder fans have been shipping them harder than FedEx. But behind the scenes, it was a whole different story.
The director, Brian Robbins, spilled the tea in an old interview, saying he had to lay down the law right from the get-go. Robbins also hinted at some potential shenanigans on set (via The Things):
They hang out together a lot. But I told them on the first day of rehearsal [of the Perfect Score], that they can’t sleep with each other. And, I’m not quite sure whether they obey[ed] me ’cause there was a lot of skinny-dipping going on. So, I’m not saying anything happened, but … who knows.
Well, casting naturally good-looking actors to work side by side obviously means something. Whatever it is, the sparks between these two have been flying for years, and the world just can’t get enough!
