Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia Goes Overboard in Showcasing Its Theme

Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia is definitely one of those Shonen series that has made a name for itself and bound its viewers with intrigue as they watched it. The show centers around Izuku Midoriya, a quirkless boy in a world full of superpowers who strives hard no matter what obstacle is placed in front of him.

The series felt like a perfect underdog story; it was more than superheroes saving the day because the villains were so well-written that they felt more like humans than a pure testament to evil. Hence, the story had set huge expectations from the story’s conclusion.

As Horikoshi-San’s MHA progressed, it featured Midoriya gaining All Might’s One For All, which helped him strive closer to his dream, but, at the end of the series, it goes back to the beginning by making our protagonist quirkless again.

Though Deku achieved his dream of becoming the #1 superhero just like his idol, All Might. As a result, it felt somewhat depressing it did not have a bad ending, but it most certainly had an unsatisfying one.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Wrapped Its Story in The Best Possible Way!

Sitting comfortably with a rating of 9.1/10 on IMDb, Hiromu Arakawa’s Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was a treat to the eyes that narrated the tale of Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric, two brothers who were incredibly gifted in alchemy. On the other hand, Edward Elric also received his perfect ending; just like his brother, he lost his leg and sacrificed his arm to bind Alphonse Elric to the armor. However, by the end of the show, Edward had regained his hand and used a prosthetic leg.

The anime concluded with a photo of a married Edward with Winfry Rockbell, his wife, and two children along with some friends and family members. Though they had suffered a loss of alchemy, it reminds its viewers that not everything is perfect, but the ending can still be beautiful.

The fandom was united by the dark fantasy anime’s ending, as it gave them a brief yet satisfying glimpse of the lives of the Elric brothers after they achieved their primary goal.
