Before the film’s release, fans were bombarded with scoops, rumors, and reports about what to expect from Deadpool 3. Now that Deadpool 3 has finally been released, we realize that a ton of the “scoops” were nothing but predictions that never came true.

Prediction Fail: ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Scoops That Never Came True

No one probably even remembers the time before the Internet and social media became a thing, when people would go out to watch a movie and come back surprised thanks to all the entertaining twists and turns in it. But now, we unfortunately aren’t able to enjoy the movie-going experience in all its glory thanks to the endless wave of scoops, rumors, and spoilers on the Internet. They are practically unavoidable!

Deadpool & Wolverine, just like any other movie, fell victim to these “scoops” that tried to spoil/predict the film. While some of them did come true like Henry Cavill’s cameo and Gambit’s comic-accurate appearance, the vast majority of them have been proven to be false, putting the insiders’ reputation at risk. Well, to be honest, a few of them were very far-fetched to begin with.

Most of the scoops were about the cameos in the threequel including that of Owen Wilson’s Mobius from Loki. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen were also reported to be a part of Deadpool 3. Of course, nothing of the sort happened.

Other scoop fails included the cameos of Wanda Maximoff, Doctor Doom, Loki, Miss Minutes, and so on. Scoopers also stated that Taylor Swift would be playing the role of either Dazzler or Ladypool in the film and now we know that wasn’t true at all. This was a pretty far-fetched report given the fact that Swift is currently occupied with her highly successful Eras Tour that has been going on for more than a year and will go on till December this year.

Plot details were also “leaked” by scoopers which, again, didn’t hold up to the claims. All in all, while we do acknowledge that the insiders got some of it right, the majority of their claims have been successfully disproven by the release of Deadpool 3.

Fans Call Out Scoopers for False Claims

One of the most popular scoopers on social media is MyTimeToShineHello who has been giving out reports since we can remember. They have over 150K followers on X and while their scoops do turn out to be true sometimes, many of their Deadpool 3 claims have been proven wrong.

For starters, they reported on Stewart, McKellen, and Swift’s cameos. They stated that Wesley Snipes would not be a part of the film since Ryan Reynolds and Halle Berry (who they stated was making a cameo in Deadpool 3), have a bad history with him. On the contrary, Snipes played an important role in the film as Blade.

Next, they replied to a scoop stating that Blake Lively was playing Lady Deadpool in the movie claiming the report to be false. It was true, after all. The scooper also said that Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova wouldn’t be the main villain in the film but again, this was proven false.

Take a look at what fans had to say about the scoop fails:

While scoops have the potential to increase the excitement for a film, they usually tend to turn out to be nothing but false information, leaving fans disappointed with the actual movie and thus, decreasing the hype surrounding it. Thankfully, nothing of the sort happened with Deadpool 3 which has managed to maintain its charm throughout.

Deadpool & Wolverine is now playing in theatres.
