Every year has been incredible for Fortnite, and 2024 is no different. It continues to collaborate with the most popular franchises, blowing the player base by surprise without fail.
Epic Games has outdone itself this year, partnering with some iconic franchises to bring beloved characters and unique items to the battle royale. Whether you’re a long-time player or just jumping in, these collaborations have something special for everyone. Here are the top five crossovers from this year that have made the game more exciting than ever.
5) Metal Gear Solid
Starting is the collaboration with a franchise that’s essentially Hideo Kojima’s brainchild.
Launched in January 2024, this partnership brought the stealthy and tactical world of Metal Gear into the vibrant chaos of Fortnite. A Solid Snake outfit was added to the Chapter 5: Season 1 Battle Pass as that Season’s bonus outfit.
Coincidentally, Peter Griffin from Family Guy is also included in the same Battle Pass, but not a bonus outfit.
4) Avatar The Last Airbender
In April 2024, the battle royale took a mystical turn with the Avatar collaboration. It brought the iconic Gaang to the game (Aang and Avatar State Aang, Toph, Katara, and Zuko, minus Sokka) as well as Avatar Korra from The Legend of Korra.
It wasn’t just their outfits that were added in Chapter 5: Season 2 of the game either. The set came with matching Back Blings, Pickaxes, Gliders, Contrails, Emotes, Emoticons, Sprays, Wraps, new Loading Screens, banner Icons, and Guitars.
Epic Games didn’t hold back with the Avatar collaboration, and it shows. It is one of the biggest collaborations of this year.
3) Guardians of the Galaxy
This iconic crossover came to the game in March 2024, and boy, did it come swinging. The bundle consists of Drax, a Young Adult Groot (based on his Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 appearance), and Mantis.
The galactic superhero pack was also part of Chapter 5: Season 2, which seems to have some of the most exciting collaborations of the game so far.
It was also released in the LEGO version of the battle royale, with each of the previously mentioned characters having blocky versions of their outfits added into the game.
2) Pirates of the Caribbean
From July to August 2024, in Chapter 5: Season 3, Epic Games’ battle royale was blessed with an epic pirate event. And you can guess it, this event brought players a ton of cool outfits and items from one of the most famous live-action pirate franchises in history.
The set contained outfits for Jack Sparrow, Cursed Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann, Captain Barbossa, and Davy Jones.
Each of the characters also got a LEGO makeover. The characters have selectable styles that you can pick (for example, Jack Sparrow can have his hat on or off). Combined with the event, this pack brought a lot to do and see and is arguably one of the best.
1) Deadpool & Wolverine
Topping our list is the epic collaboration between Fortnite and the Marvel duo of Deadpool and Wolverine. In July 2024, this partnership brought two of the most beloved anti-heroes to the game’s universe, and it was nothing short of spectacular.
As part of Chapter 5: Season 3, could unlock the comic book version of their outfits using V-Bucks. While Wolverine is available on both the normal and LEGO versions of the game, Deadpool is unfortunately only available in the base game.
With so many stellar collaborations this year and more to come, it’s hard to pick a top five, let alone a favorite.
