It has been a crazy few months with collaborations coming out of the woods in the gaming industry, and according to a recent announcement, FNAF (Five Nights at Freddy’s) will be the next to make its appearance in another title.
For many, this news is something to rejoice about, as the FNAF franchise is incredibly popular with fans around the world, but that hasn’t stopped a specific collection of gamers from feeling betrayed by this collaboration.
FNAF is Finally Collaborating With Another Title, but It Isn’t the Title You Would Expect
In recent months, gamers have been receiving plenty of collaborations throughout the industry, but the most common example of these collaborations would be Fortnite.
Over the many years that Fortnite has been around, it has collaborated with franchises like Fallout, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Marvel, Star Wars, and so many more.
Unfortunately, it seems this collaboration has slipped through Fortnite‘s fingers as another title managed to get this deal just in the nick of time, and that title is Dead by Daylight.
Dead by Daylight has been gaining popularity over the past few months, as it has released a few major collaborations with franchises like Dungeons and Dragons, Lara Croft, and even Stranger Things.
Now it has managed to do the impossible and work together with FNAF; unfortunately, this collaboration won’t come until 2025, but it has already begun to gather the attention of the fans in more ways than one.
Fortnite Players Wish They Were Receiving This Collaboration Instead of Dead by Daylight
Since this information went public, the Fortnite community has been very vocal about this loss, as many players have been begging for this collaboration for years.
However, there are also Dead by Daylight players who are cheering uncontrollably about this collaboration causing a stalemate on Twitter/X threads.

Finally, there is one Dead by Daylight player who sums it up nicely, saying they cannot wait for Freddy to be added to the game so they can prestige him immediately while also throwing a sly dig at Fortnite players.
So far, this collaboration will likely only be in its earliest stages and no information regarding what will be included exists at the time of writing, but we can only assume that this collaboration will likely be a killer-only deal and will bring plenty of FNAF skins to the game.
