Sabretooth and Wolverine have had a very tumultuous history in the comics, where both characters are at each other’s throats on any given occasion. However, the Fox films had made their relationship a little more mellow, such that they still thought of each other as brothers, even teaming up to fight a common enemy on several occasions.

In the deleted scene from Logan, Wolverine talks to one of the children in the sanctuary about how the comics that were based on the X-Men in-universe were not real. The child, who has a Wolverine and Sabretooth action figure, asks if the latter is real, Wolverine confirms that he is, remembering their entire history together.

One such character is Liev Schreiber‘s version of Sabretooth. Not only does the character have a more story history with Logan, but that version of the character was also better received by audiences. The character is on the wishlist of cameos right up there with Eric Bana’s The Hulk and Jessica Alba’s Sue Storm.

These actors have left a lasting impression on audiences in the formative years of the MCU. Now, given that similar characters are making their way back into the cultural zeitgeist, fans are keen on seeing these characters pop up and receive the sort of appreciation that they deserve.

Logan can be streamed on Disney+.
