After a poor performance by Modern Warfare 3, the Call of Duty saga is finally aiming for a strong comeback with the release of Black Ops 6. One of the major features that will be reworked is the zombies mode.
New leaks suggest that the zombies mode will revert to its original concept of rounds, a feature that previous installments removed. It seems there will be a small unexpected twist that will mark a before and after in the mode, as Treyarch will try adding a kind of guide to help players complete each map.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Is Making an Incredible Number of Changes for the Community
Call of Duty, one of the most profitable video game franchises, continues to release new games each year. Unfortunately, the quality of these games varies, and in 2023, they released what was probably one of their worst games to date.
That is why Activision and Treyarch are looking to change players’ opinions with a game that promises to bring all kinds of innovations. Black Ops 6 will arrive in November and will feature a story mode, multiplayer, and the spectacular zombies mode.
According to a game insider, several leaks show that the zombies mode will offer two different ways to play it. The post on X described the zombies mode as consisting of a standard section where players will typically progress through the given scenario.

Standard:
"Continue the fight against the undead and search for clues to the truth of what lies ahead…"
Guided:
"Complete story quests with guidance and a maximum round cap of 15."
On the other hand, there is a guided variation that enables players to complete all aspects of this content until they reach round 15. This will serve as a pre-requisite for the mode, which has never had this feature before.

This particular mode, unlike previous games, has not included rounds for numerous installments. Fans on social media are reacting differently to the guided mode.
Various users argue that the presence of a guide doesn’t significantly alter the experience, as they would have likely searched for one online anyway. Therefore, if the studio provides one, there should be no issues. Others, who are purists, argue that this will alter the dynamic of the mode.
According to the first trailer released yesterday, this mode will return to its roots and will no longer be integrated into Warzone. The teaser was called Terminus and showed a series of new characters who apparently were going to fight against waves of zombies.
Treyarch’s work on this title excites players in every way. Whether this mode is positive or negative for the game divides the community. Black Ops 6 will offer the standard story mode, unlike what happened in Modern Warfare 3.
The title will arrive on October 25, and the studio has already anticipated that the overall gameplay will receive a significant adjustment regarding character movements and how they engage in combat.
This game has the potential to bring back a lot of fans who distanced themselves from the franchise because recent games did not meet their quality expectations. What are your thoughts on this new option? Let us know in the comments!
