The Importance of Ace’s Character in One Piece Live-Action

The Alabasta saga is one of the most crucial narratives of the entire One Piece storyline. It not only reveals some major mysteries in One Piece but also brings forth a roster of characters who are going to be even more crucial in the next phase of the series. This roster includes characters like Vivi, Nico Robin, Sir Crocodile, and Ace.

Ace’s role in Alabasta might be small compared to other characters, but his importance as a character is quite big in the entire narrative. He is one of the reasons why Luffy has become so strong that he earned the Emperor of the Sea title. Also, his sad death during the Marineford arc marks the beginning of a new adventure for Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates after the time skip.

However, while talking about his opportunity to voice Ace once again, Furukawa shared his interest in voicing Ace in the upcoming One Piece remake by WIT Studio. However, the studio has not yet approached Furukawa for the role. If WIT Studios needs to adapt the One Piece anime to perfection, they will certainly need Furukawa.
