The Marvel Cinematic Universe has mostly catered its content to adolescents, with a strict handle on where it throws around some R-rated humor. There have been multiple instances in the MCU when such jokes have almost made the cut, but fell short of being in the final product.

The Guardians of the Galaxy is one faction in the MCU that has often gotten away with some crude humor that might seem out of place in something like The Avengers or the X-Men. While nowhere as close as Deadpool, there have been a few jokes about ‘netherregions’ thrown by the Guardians, including one that almost made it into the final cut of Avengers: Infinity War.

One of the deleted scenes from the film, which featured Guardians, had Mantis, Peter Quill, and Drax confronting the Thanos on Titan. Tell Quill not to lose my sister a second time, or I will sew his face to his genitals.

While this is not the kind of joke that is usually in an MCU feature, this sort of language is not out of place for the Guardians. Infinity War featured a lot of foul language from the Guardians, including but not limited to referring to Thanos as having a ‘n*tsack of a chin’.

Peter Quill will be a great addition to the new team of Avengers in the MCU

As of the end of The Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, Peter Quill has found his way back to Earth and is living a quiet life with his grandfather. However, come the events of Avengers: Doomsday, Peter might find himself joining the fight against Doctor Doom.

Marvel Studios might have a lot of reasons to bring in Chris Pratt for Avengers: Doomsday. To begin with, the actor has been pretty popular in the last couple of years, bringing in box office numbers that have gotten him some recognition among studios. Be it Super Mario Brothers or Guardians of the Galaxy, the actor has had a great run, and has the appeal that Marvel needs right now to get people back in the theatres.

Peter Quill has served as a leader of the Guardians and can bring in a lot of cosmic experience to the Avengers. It can be assumed that he also has some cosmic tech lying around with him, which he can use to aid the Avengers in battle.

Avengers: Infinity War can be streamed on Disney+
