The couple have started living separately after Affleck moved out of their shared mansion, which is now listed at a valuation of $68 million. Affleck spent a couple of months in a rental property in Brentwood before purchasing a simpler $20 million bachelor pad for himself.
The Mother actress was reportedly blindsided by one action that Affleck took after they decided to live separately. A source revealed that Affleck packed his things and left when the On the Floor singer was on her solo vacation across Europe.

According to reports, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez will come public anytime to announce the end of their fairy tale second chance at love. Affleck and Lopez started living separately after Affleck moved out of their shared mansion, which they bought in June 2023 (via PEOPLE).
A source shared with the outlet that Affleck was moved to a rental property in Brentwood, while the mansion in Beverly Hills was put on the market in July. It was also reported that the Batman v. Superman actor moved out all his things when Lopez was on vacation. They were last seen together in a building in West Hollywood on June 26, as captured by TMZ.
According to Heat magazine, Lopez was furious when she got back and found out what Affleck had done. A source told them that she was in a great mood during the vacation and it was ruined by the Deep Water actor’s actions. It was reported that she was trying to come up with an amicable solution to their relationship troubles. The source told Heat:
Jen was horrified when she came back and found out Ben had packed everything up while she was gone. She was in such a good mood after her holiday and looking forward to sitting down with Ben and being amicable, but he went and just took his stuff. It was all very cold, like a military operation and, as far as she’s concerned, a real slap in the face.
The source added that she was infuriated that Affleck took it upon himself to make the decision for both of them. The source shared, “The most upsetting part is the fact that he wanted to do it without her and took all agency away from her that’s just so insulting.” The Get Right singer will allegedly conduct an inventory of the things that Affleck took, hinting that she will not let things slide easily.

While Jennifer Lopez was busy celebrating her birthday, Affleck was finalizing his deal on a $20 million mansion. According to Page Six, Affleck’s mansion is situated in Pacific Palisades, California. The Good Will Hunting actor’s new home is much simpler than his previous Beverly Hills mansion.
Reports also suggested that he moved closer to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner‘s home so that he could focus on being a father to their kids. PEOPLE recently reported that Lopez was also actively looking for a new property. According to a source, one of the properties she recently looked at offers “a high level of privacy on a quiet street with A-list neighbors”.
Lopez will also have to make sure that this reportedly failed second attempt doesn’t drag her career down. Affleck will also probably put himself deep into work. It won’t help things that Lopez has signed on to star in two movies produced by Affleck and Matt Damon.
