One of those songs went viral on TikTok, and despite its popularity, the pop star isn’t happy. She expressed mixed emotions about fans’ behavior and the practice of stealing songs.

It’s really hard for me because it’s really disheartening and, like, disappointing, and it sucks. I am constantly trying to get to the bottom of like how people get stuff… It’s conflicting because that is very frustrating and feels very dehumanizing.

The Wicked star remarked that “the other side is, like, but I’m so grateful to be an artist that people care about, and my fans want more of me,” to the point that they would go to extreme lengths and steal her songs.

The 31-year-old Florida native talked about her song ‘Fantasize’ getting leaked online in her interview via Zach Sang Show. She warned fans:

Before I left for Wicked, the few studio sessions I did, which are all — all — over TikTok, thank you so much. I’ll see you in jail, literally.

Grande expressed willingness to pay money just to reverse the situation. “So ‘Fantasize’ comes out — ‘comes out’ — crazy, was stolen. Comes out? Thieves, pirates, crooks, illegal. I’ll pay you more to put it away, to get it back.” She explained that the song wasn’t for her, but for a TV show and the original version of it was “a parody of a ‘90s girl group vibe.”

She’s aware that fans loved the song although she finds it “corny”. Nonetheless, she revealed taking a note of it and giving them “Ariana’s version of that on the album, I would say that exists.”

Despite feeling upset about the leaked song, Grande was still very generous enough to give her fans her own rendition of the viral track.
