While the previous versions of the franchise have already left gamers speechless, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is all set to soar to even greater heights! In recent weeks, the developer Asboe has revealed some new features that will completely revolutionize the virtual aviation experience.
The game will feature enhanced visuals, which will bring a carefully recreated Earth. Every airport in the title has been massively improved with brand-new additions of oil rigs, glider airports, and lighthouses that create a more immersive experience.
However, what truly separates Flight Simulator 2024 from the rest of the franchise is the unpredicted freedom it brings. Not only can you fly through the skies, but you will also be able to step out of your plane and walk around to explore stunning landscapes.

This new mechanism will allow gamers to immerse themselves in nature as they walk along beautiful mountains, explore remote areas, and experience and witness gorgeous sunsets reflecting on serene lakes.
It’s truly a level of immersion that the gaming community has never seen before. It’s only a matter of time before we see modders pushing the boundaries of the feature and outright recreating Grand Theft Auto in Flight Simulator.

The modding community has already played a massive role in the Flight Simulator franchise’s success by extending the game’s longevity by adding game-changing mods and add-ons. With the way the sequel is shaping up, we honestly can’t wait to see what the modding community has in store for the game.
Let’s hope Microsoft and Xbox don’t drop the ball with this game and bring us another disappointment.
When is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Coming Out?
While it may not receive the same level of marketing as legendary games such as Gears or Halo, Microsoft Flight Simulator is Microsoft’s longest-running series by decades.
Initially catering to a nice audience of airplane enthusiasts, the series has broken into the mainstream with recent entries, and the upcoming title is going to take things further.
Flight Simulator 2024 will be released on November 19, 2024. When it comes out, it will be available for Xbox Series S/X and PC, with the obviously day one availability on Game Pass.
Currently, there are no official prices for the game at the time of this writing. However, if we take a guess based on the pricing of the previous entry, Microsoft will likely give us a base version priced at $60, with more expensive additions bringing additional content.
