While it closely resembled one of the comic-accurate suits of Marvel’s First Family, fans were not all in favor of the suit. Only Joseph Quinn wore the costume at D23, while other cast members appeared in their casual clothing. Earlier, it was confirmed that the upcoming Marvel film was going to be a period piece.

Joseph Quinn, who stars as Johnny Storm, attended a D23 event for the cast in his F4 costume (via DiscussingFilm). The original concept art released during the cast announcement had the four actors in blue suits that had some white elements to it. The new look has more white elements in it than expected.

The suit has a white sleeve that goes all the way up to the collar. Quinn also wore white gloves, but the palms of the gloves were black. While his shoes were not visible in the photo, fans expected that he wore the white boots from the concept art. Both these costumes were adapted from John Byrne’s comics run on Fantastic Four (via Marvel).

Fans were not exactly jumping up and down in excitement when they saw the suit. Some fans loved how Marvel kept the comic accuracy when designing the suit. Others shared that they were not vibing with the suit, with one fan commenting that Disney/Marvel ruined the suits as usual. However, many had mixed feelings and were worried about how it would look in the film. Some of the reactions read:

Ralph Ineson’s Galactus also appears in the footage alongside the group’s preparation to embark on a space mission. The film gave a very retro vibe of the ’60s with several scenes having a 4:3 aspect ratio.

During an interview with ET, Vanessa Kirby opened up about the dynamics between her character Sue Storm and Reed Richards. She shared that their relationship was still in a ‘honeymoon’ phase. Kirby shared with ET:

We’re so honeymoon phase. And you know what actually, if you even Google, Sue and Reed, they look like they have been in a honeymoon phase for a quite long time.
