The world was introduced to Matt Murdock aka Daredevil back in 2003 when Ben Affleck starred in a film of the same name. Things changed when Charlie Cox put on the red suit and Netflix released the first season of Daredevil in 2015.

The first season found huge success as the world loved Cox’s portrayal of Matt Murdock. Soon after, two more seasons found their way into production all the while introducing iconic characters like The Punisher and Bullseye in the mix. However, a betrayal was evident.
Netflix Held Its End of the Bargain
The deal was of 3 seasons and Netflix did finish the deal. However, fans were left unsatisfied as they wanted more of Charlie Cox as the blind attorney since Daredevil was meant for mature audiences.

Despite fan petitions, talks, discussions, campaigns, and more, Netflix did not renew Daredevil for a fourth season. After a while, the campaigns stopped as fans started giving up hope. It wasn’t until his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home, that fans regained faith in the MCU and Daredevil.
The D23 Expo recently took place and fans were shown a trailer for the upcoming MCU series Daredevil: Born Again. Suffice it to say that fans have regained their faith in the MCU.
Taking to their social media accounts on X, fans expressed their excitement about the show as Matt Murdock is an unhinged character filled to the brim with rage (something rare in the MCU).
As much as the fans are hyping up the trailer for Born Again, things could have certainly gone wrong if Marvel Studios hadn’t paid close attention to it.
According to an earlier interview, lead star Charlie Cox talked about the original plan for the MCU show and how it could have turned out to be completely worthless.
Charlie Cox the Praised MCU For Being Open-Minded
The initial idea for Daredevil: Born Again was quite different from what the end product would be. After Disney acquired the rights to Marvel Studios, people immediately started their work in a new Daredevil series.

Random ideas were thrown around and multiple points of entry were thought of. However, none of it seemed to work well. In an earlier interview with Comicbook, Cox sat down to chat about the upcoming show.
During his talks, Cox revealed that the original idea was quite terrible. The actor also stated that he is happy that Marvel Studios was open-minded to change.
Marvel had been incredibly open-minded and willing to correct course, and incredibly supportive. Early on, we were trying something that was a bit different, and very quickly they were able to identify that wasn’t maybe working as well as it could’ve done.
It surely seems that whatever idea they came up with seems to be working quite well as the world is excited for the release of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil: Born Again.
With a leaked trailer and some key details, Daredevil: Born Again is set for a release date in March 2025 across the U.S.
