While the developers at Arrowhead Game Studios have done whatever they can to fix things and bring players back, there are still some promises that haven’t been fulfilled. One such promise was made by then-Arrowhead CEO and current CCO Johan Pilestedt to the fans and they need to work on it now.

Sony and Arrowhead Game Studios had prompted Helldivers 2 players on Steam to connect their accounts to PlayStation Network. While this was well intended, it backfired and several players quit playing the game and much worse.

The players started review bombing the game and the game’s rating on Steam went from Mostly Positive to Mostly Negative. However, once Sony scaled back on the PSN requirement to play the game, the players did their part and the game was back to Mostly Positive rating.

Then CEO of the studio, Johan Pilestedt was motived by this in the best way possible and promised fans to bring a cape inspired by the ratings. However, that hasn’t happened yet and fans are looking to talk to Pilestedt and the new CEO Shams Jorjani about adding this to the Helldivers 2 capes collection.

Dont let them forget they havent released this yet when they said they would!

Back when Pilestedt revealed the cape, he had said that the developers are working on this. But also had said that it will be coming to the game when the time is right. It seems like this is not the right time yet as per the developer but the fans are growing impatient and want it as soon as possible.

The latest Escalation of Freedom update in Helldivers 2 was expected to bring back the players who had quit the game since the PSN controversy. However, the update has not impressed the fans as much as the developer hoped.

Players are again complaining and think if the game keeps moving on this track, the developer may need to make another similar cape that they are currently looking forward to. One player said, “At the rate things are going they’ll need to make another quite soon.”

Another player added, “They said they were looking for the right time. Now definitely isn’t it.”

The game has seen several ups and downs ever since its launch. Fans think if the developer does not do anything about the game’s state right now, it will be dead pretty soon.

Although some players are looking to get the cape, many want the developer to just fix the game so that they can have some fun like they did during the early days of the game.
