The Cyruses aka Miley Cyrus’ family used to be one of the most popular household names in the entertainment industry, with pretty much all the people of the family being well-known members of Hollywood. However, this loving clan abruptly broke after nearly 30 years of togetherness when Tish Cyrus Purcell and Billy Ray Cyrus decided to go their separate ways.
Surprisingly enough, this pair didn’t take long to find their new love interests following their split in 2022. But while both Billy and Tish found that spark in their romantic life reigniting with their new, respective partners, it seems like one Arrowverse star, whom Miley’s mother even went as far as calling her “hall pass” just may have been the catalyst that destroyed their family.

While Tish Purcell and Billy Ray Cyrus spent almost three stunning decades together leading an ostensibly happy life in front of the cameras, it seems like the storm about to part them soon had been brewing for quite a long time. Well, this stands more or less true for Tish, at the very least, who is now married to Arrowverse star Dominic Purcell.
As it turns out, Tish had her eyes on Purcell for a long, long time. During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast earlier this year, the 57-year-old manager cum producer confessed to the same, calling Purcell her “hall pass” all the while claiming that it was “heartbreaking” that the two of them couldn’t be a couple before “because we’re so perfect.”
This unconventional love story, apparently, started nearly a decade prior, when Miley Cyrus‘ mother followed The Flash star on Instagram. As she revealed while coming clean about it:
In 2016, Dom DMed me. I had followed him on Instagram and he DMed me and just said, ‘Hey Tish, just wanted to [say], I think you’re super cool and … you’re doing such a great job with your family.’ … I didn’t see it for a year.
However, this direct message didn’t sit well with the actor’s then-girlfriend who, ostensibly, “blocked [Tish] from his Instagram.” That said, this matter was seemingly buried there and then, with Tish continuing to lead her life with her then-husband Billy Ray.
But things were written in favor of her and Dominic Purcell, considering how the duo finally found their ways back to each other following Tish’s split.

After almost a decade-long hold on her crush on Purcell, Tish Cyrus eventually found her way back to him after divorcing Billy Ray in 2022. By then, she figured that she had been “unblocked,” and thus, hit the Prison Break star up to tell him about her production deal with NBCU.
Soon enough, the pair were texting each other, and, before she knew it, Tish had already asked Purcell his views on getting together and discussing a potential show idea. This definitely worked considering how, from there onwards, the pair was already moving at lightning speed.
As Tish confessed on the podcast:
So, we go to lunch and make out for like three hours at a pub. We were out back, having a few little drinks.
That’s not all. Within a day or so of this, the pair had already said their “I love you’s” to each other, finding the perfect match with the other and not hesitating to grab this opportunity when it had finally knocked on their door.
Of course, all of this may have contributed to the Cyruses breaking up as well, but all of them seem to be leading happy lives now, so we might as well let the past bury the past.
