Jennifer Aniston has been in the entertainment industry for well over a decade, having participated in several hit comedy films, TV shows, and more. The actress gained fame for her role in the popular sitcom Friends in the late 1990s.
Now, after twenty years since the show ended, the actress is part of another TV series, The Morning Show. Recently, with the show being renewed for another season, there is a spring in her step as she regains the glory of a TV star. The show also features her former onscreen sister, Reese Witherspoon. The two seasoned actresses butt heads on the show as colleagues; there may be some friction on the sets too.
The Morning Show magic: Jennifer Aniston’s triumph
Jennifer Aniston is currently playing the role of Alex Levy, a cutthroat reporter and co-host of UBA’s TMS. The drama series, The Morning Show fetched her a Screen Actors Guild Award, and she earned nominations for two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes. After a long wait, the show got renewed for the fourth season, which has the actress thrilled.
Jen is once again in the position of being a little blown away by her own brilliance when it comes to this show.
An insider reported for Life & Style magazine that the actress was overjoyed with the series’ success and her own performance. Aniston was heavily involved in the productions as well as casting for the show, and the awards gave her a much-needed serotonin boost.
Especially the incredible number of acting nominations Season 3 got – nine in total – because she is extremely involved in picking the actors who join the massive ensemble.
The former Friends actor has once again regained the status of a popular TV star and has been excited for this new beginning. Her show features a bunch of skilled actors, including her former sister (on screen) and long-time friend, Reese Witherspoon.
But Jen is embracing the life of a TV mogul like she never did during her Friends years and she isn’t shy about letting people know that making this whole show in the first place was an idea that she originally put in front of Reese and not the other way around.
The insider continued the report about Aniston enjoying the high tide her show recently created. But according to the reports, it seems all was not well between the two lead actresses earlier on in the show.
Love and hate relationship on & off the screen
The Legally Blond star has been friends with Aniston ever since they met on the set of Friends in 2000. Currently, the actresses are working together on the drama series The Morning Show, where their characters share a love-hate relationship.
According to OK Magazine, sources report there was some tension between them, which turned the former besties onto one another. Back when the series’ second season was being filmed, something happened on the sets, which led to ‘eyerolls and whispers’.
They used to hang out when the cameras weren’t rolling, but not now.
An inside source reported about the supposed friction to Star magazine. But this allegation was denied by a rep for Aniston. It all started when her character, who everyone thought would win an Emmy, in fact did not end up winning. This caused tensions to rise for all on the sets of the show, the insider went on to inform.
Luckily, everything is resolved now, as the actors have been nominated for several awards and praised by the critics. The Bonnie actor even wished her co-star a happy birthday in 2021, talking about the deep bond they share. Aniston, during several interviews, talked about her amazing friendship with Witherspoon.
