Dragon Ball characters aren’t simply a visual display that fans have adored over the years. It’s their voice that matters too. The upcoming Bandai Namco game just dropped a new trailer and its fine as far as the visuals are concerned.

But then there’s the voice that remains concerning for the fans. They highlighted that Cell and Gohan’s voices feel weird and are almost convinced that they have heard them in Kai. Kai was a remastered and recut version of the series that wasn’t really liked by fans.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has already confirmed Cell will be in the roster. But then again, there wasn’t a dedicated ‘character‘ trailer for the character. Now there is one and we got to see a variety of transformations akin to how the last trailer featured Frieza’s.

But there was something offbeat; the voices of the characters featured weren’t really likeable, just like Kai wasn’t likeable.

This one fan was in agreement with this and asked what happened there.

Another fan believes that its simply a matter of age and that voice artists are getting old.

That makes sense but no matter what, fans would still prefer to hear the original voices they grew up listening to.

The ultimate supervillain was dubbed by a couple of voice actors, given that there were a couple of versions of the series. Dameon Clarke was behind the famous voice. However, the Kai version was something fans never admired.

Similarly, Teen Gohan in Dragon Ball was voiced by different actors, but Colleen Clinkenbeard was liked more by the fans. The child version of him was voiced by Stephanie Nadolny, which is by far one of the most popular in the series.

While we may not get to hear the original voices that are adored by the fans, other characters, including Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and more, will be retaining their voices.

The game has a release date of October 11, 2024, where it is expected by the fans to see the roster getting all the characters as they witness more trailers. The battles in the game already feel like watching episodes of anime. Original voice lines would just add to the realism.
