Helldivers 2 has been through a rough patch recently and the gaming community has had enough of the cannon fodder quality content. Things are not looking so hot for Arrowhead Game Studios which is where its new master plan to win back the player base kicks in and it sounds promising.
There is no such thing as a perfect video game; however, that should not stop game developers from trying. The gaming community had high praise for the project in its early days, unfortunately, the developers have lost their momentum and footing. Hopefully, this battle plan will save the game.
Arrowhead Game Studios Finally Addressed the Problems Found in the Recent Helldivers 2 Update
The gaming community has been quite explicit about their disdain regarding the most recent update and it took Arrowhead Game Studios long enough to respond. The daily active player count has been winding down immensely while most Helldivers 2 players are letting enemy factions take over distant territories.
The lack of resistance shows how they feel about the Second Galactic War proving that the interest is no longer there. This is not ideal for a live service game and it is high time for the game developers to get ahead of the situation and the studio revealed their grand plan on recovering from this unfortunate mishap.

Among the things that will be updated is the fire damage mechanic, and it is prudent since the gaming community immediately caught on about the inconsistent fire effects after the patch went live. Hopefully, most of these will be fixed in the next 60 days as the developers intended and will be enough to win back the gaming community and convince them to keep playing.
The developers also mentioned that they are reworking on balancing and scaling and have finally realized what their previous efforts have wrought. The game is not as fun as it used to be, and the player base has been vocal about bringing the fun back or increasing the entertainment factor to appeal to the wider community instead of nerfing firearms and making the experience a living hell.
The Upcoming Helldivers 2 Patch Could Win Back the Gaming Community
There is no denying that the Escalation of Freedom update had a few shortcomings, but it shouldn’t justify ignoring the few things it improved. The gaming community noticed that the aesthetic of the pods has been slightly updated in line with the recent changes and could be a hint of more improvements in the following days.
Arrowhead Game Studios must move fast before forever losing the solid foundation they had established with the game community. The hardcore players expressed their concern about failing to meet the current major orders, especially now when they are short on manpower, and it could pave the way for the developers to consider porting the game to a rival platform.
Hopefully, most of the listed issues will be patched accordingly, and reinstate the game to its former glory. The gaming community expected better from the developers and has had enough of getting inconsistent and lackluster content.
The Second Galactic War is far from over and the people of Super Earth need more men. Perhaps this update will be the key to the game’s survival.
