Epic Games is no stranger to breaking new ground in the gaming industry, and this creator sponsorship system designed to uplift Fortnite streamers seems no different than the direction it’s always been taking.

The news comes from @Krowe_moh, reported by @ShiinaBR on X/Twitter. Supposedly, Epic Games is working on a new system that will help creators secure sponsorships and manage these transactions.

It’s not some vague shout-out system, but creators will be able to set their budgets and manage their ad spending through a CPM system like YouTube.

This is way bigger than asking your viewers to use your creator code, and it will undoubtedly change the lives of some dedicated streamers of the game.

That’s not the end of the exciting news. @Krowe_moh also revealed that the studio is working on crafting something related to sponsored experiences.

Not in the sense of in-game ads, but entire companies being able to sponsor new maps. Imagine running through an Avatar-themed map—it’s more along those lines.

People have made entire careers out of streaming or creating content for Fortnite, so having official support in that sense that goes beyond creator codes will change the playing field for many creators.

It could be the difference between streaming it as a hobby vs. going full-time and making a decent living off of it.

One player asks a good question though—before making any huge plans, it would be good to know what the requirements to qualify for this program are.

We’ll have to wait for official word from Epic on that front.

As many have echoed, this is a massive win for Fortnite creators. Streamlining sponsorships for the game is going to make it much easier for creators to dedicate their time to it. It’s a win-win for the company and creators.

If this extends to all of its spin-offs, then the dubs just keep getting bigger.

Are you a creator who will be affected by the alleged sponsorship system? We’d love to hear your thoughts on it in the comments below!
