Dragon Age fans excitedly await the release of the upcoming title The Veilguard, scheduled to launch on October 31st this year. The game will be launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Players on PC have been curious to know the requirements for being able to run the game on their rigs and it has now been revealed via Steam. The PC specifications are reasonable and Baldur’s Gate 3 fans will be happy to know.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Official PC Specs Is Out
After it was known that Morrigan is returning in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the PC specifications have now been revealed via Steam. The game is developed using the Frostbite engine, like the other three games.
As for the requirements, gamers on PC will need at least a 64-bit processor and Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system. As for the minimum processor requirements, Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X with 16 GB of RAM and NVIDIA GTX 970/1650 or an AMD Radeon R9 290X.
The DirectX required is Version 12 API and players will also need a minimum free space of 100 GB. The game does support HDD but BioWare has suggested players to use SSD. It is also important to note that AMD CPUs on Windows 11 will require AGESA V2 1.2.0.7.
The dev has suggested players to use the Intel Core i9-9900K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and for GPU, NVIDIA RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700XT is recommended for the best gaming experience. But it has not yet been revealed if it will support NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR, or Intel XeSS.
Fans Are Happy With the Generous Requirements
The games that are released these days have almost outrageous PC requirements but the specs for The Veilguard have made fans happy. Fans have praised the developer for these specs and they do not need to spend a fortune to upgrade their rigs for playing the game.
Fans have said that despite the game needing a large chunk of disk space, the game’s specs are similar to Baldur’s Gate 3. This means that if players were able to run Larian’s title on their PC, they could easily run the game.

Hopefully, they would not encounter any issues. One fan called the specs “pretty reasonable for a modern game” while another fan added, “Looks like my laptop can still do it.”

Many have said that they were worried about running the game on their laptop or their GTA 980 and 1060. What’s more exciting is that the game is also Steam Deck verified.
