Why Is This LAN Party in Las Vegas Important?

Anyone can play competitive games online but there will always be input delay with the connection. On LAN, there’s nearly no connection delay which feels completely different from an online setting.

Fighting games commonly host LAN events at a local or global level. Due to the one versus one nature, it’s easier to host these events. EVO, the Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament, happens every year drawing thousands of eyes to the event.

However, team-based games don’t have many in-person events due to costs and sign up rate. This Halo event is important because it opens the floodgates to potentially other big LAN Party events to happen.

If a retro first-person shooter can host such a party, what’s stopping other games from doing the same? LAN events are always a joy to attend, even at a local level. Making new friends and the joy of competition is why many players continue to attend.

Memorable moments are plentiful when you attend these parties, even as a spectator. The LAN Party is going to be the biggest retro LAN Party of the year for a first-person shooter. If this event is exciting for you and your friends, sign up soon before all 64 spots get filled up.
