Although Rogue One received critical acclaim, it seems that Diego Luna wants fans to rewatch it. Stating that season 2 of Andor changes so many things, Luna claimed that it would feel like seeing a different film altogether.

Diego Luna’s Andor Season 2 Will Be Iconic

With the world changing its preference for streaming services, a series based on the character of Cassian Andor was created. Andor received critical acclaim and high ratings and season 2 was greenlit shortly.

Since the character had appeared in Rogue One, Diego Luna sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly to talk about the second season of Andor.

I think people watching Rogue One, after watching season 2, are going to see a different film. Everything will be signified differently knowing what had to happen for K-2 to be there.

He further continued,

It’s going to make you witness the journey of Rogue One in a different way, I think. And not just with K-2, but with many other characters. I think it’ll be really cool.

Since fans would obviously want to watch the 2016 film after watching season 2 of Andor, it seems that Diego Luna has already thought of a promotional plan!

Talking about how the show will have a huge impact on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Luna revealed that there would be some form of an offer where you can finish the season and hop on to the big screen for a rewatch of Rogue One.

Diego Luna Has The Perfect Promotional Plan

In Rogue One, the focus was on Jyn Erso (portrayed by Felicity Jones). When her father is forcibly taken by the Galactic Empire to build the Death Star, Erso joins a group of resistance fighters after growing up.

And with what Luna is saying about season 2 of the show, it seems that we will be getting the other POV of how Andor was kidnapped and forced to work on the Death Star.

As the interview further continued, Luna revealed that he already had the perfect promotional plan in mind.

I’m sure someone from Lucasfilm and Disney will give us the opportunity to watch season 2 and then go straight to watch the film on a big screen with tons of popcorn and friends around.

Well, we can’t say for certain but the probability seems very high for a re-release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The iconic film received a rating of 7.8/10 on IMDB and 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.
