Although people wish that it could have been a reality, Robert Pattinson is an actor and not a real-life Batman. When the world initially learned about the casting news, there was some form of backlash against the actor.

With talks of Pattinson’s previous role in the Twilight and the Harry Potter franchise and whether the actor will be able to cope or not, there were many doubts. However, Robert Pattinson proved them all wrong.

It wasn’t an easy task as the actor revealed in an interview with GQ that during the initial days of filming, he actually broke his wrist!

Then I broke my wrist at the beginning of it all, doing a stunt, even before COVID. So the whole first section was trying to keep working out—looking like a penguin. I remember when that seemed like the worst thing that could go wrong.

At that time, Robert Pattinson thought that his wrist breaking would be the worst thing that could happen to the actor. However, in 2020, productions shut down across the world including Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

Despite the ongoing pandemic and Pattinson himself being tested positive, the actor didn’t stop thinking about Bruce Wayne. The Tenet actor rather found himself more and more busy studying Batman.

Robert Pattinson Wanted To Star In The Batman No Matter The Cost

As the interview further continued, the actor had some iconic words to say about how Batman became his supporting anchor through the pandemic. Pattinson feels that Batman literally saved him!

I just always had this anchor of Batman. Whereas I was so incredibly busy the whole time, doing something that was also super high pressure, by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done…. I was still playing Batman at the end of the day, even though the world might end.

He later rephrased his sentence, which might just be something that only Batman could say.

Even if the world burns down, I’ve just got to get this fu*king thing out!

Well, his determination and drive surely worked in his favor as the world simply fell in love with The Batman as soon as it was released. The film received a rating of 7.8/10 on IMDB and a whopping 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.
