Thanks to films like those produced by Marvel Studios (even if they weren’t the first to do so), superhero films often run a very tight production when it comes to leaking things to the public.

Ironic, that the film about the World’s Greatest Detective had to hire a PI firm to discover a leak. It was a big deal to them. Every day we’d come into work expecting a big bust.

However, turns out that WB never really caught the person who was responsible for the leak. However, the reveal served as a very good litmus test about how fans felt about the aesthetics of the film. SDCC 2024 gave fans the first proper look at the follow-up to Matt Reeves’ The Batman. The show will directly lead into The Batman Part II. Fans are excited to dive back into the world of The Batman, which many have hailed as one of the best live-action versions of the character, right up there with Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

The Penguin is described as a Scarface story, about Oswald Cobblepot trying to get ahead in life by raising his social status in Gotham, which has a severe class divide issue, as was revealed in the first entry into the franchise. Robert Pattinson’s Batman’s sophomore outing will pick up right where The Penguin will leave things off, which means that the show might give us a glimpse into what the plot of the second film might be.
