This incredible setup earned him the title for the most game consoles connected to a single TV, a record recognized by the Guinness World Records.

People might be thinking how Ibrahim managed to connect that many game consoles to a single TV, but he’s a master at this.

His setup is so complex that it involves an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of which console is connected to which switcher. This way, he knows exactly what to turn on to play any particular console at any given time.

His gaming setup is pretty mind-blowing. The sheer variety in his collection is insane, featuring everything from the Magnavox Odyssey, the very first gaming console ever released all the way back in 1972, to the latest PlayStation 5 Slim, which was released pretty recently, in late 2023.

His collection also includes classic consoles like the N64, Sega Genesis, Playstation One, and even some rare ones like the Super A’Can.

Ibrahim’s dedication to his collection shows in the way he’s organized everything, using over 30 RCA switchers and more than 12 HDMI switchers to manage all the connections. This could get pretty complicated after all.

He’s taken great care to ensure that all the cables are neatly hidden, using every tool available to keep things organized.  His goal was not just to create a gaming station, but rather a setup that looks like a museum, in a way that’s both functional to him, and also visually appealing to everyone else.

The Future of the Gaming Collection

Ibrahim also explained that, over time, he found himself with a growing stack of consoles that he wasn’t able to play because of the limited TV ports. Instead of unplugging and replugging consoles whenever he wanted to play, he came up with the idea to connect everything at once.

The project became so unique that he decided to contact Guinness to see if it could be recognized, and it actually was, hence a new Guinness World Record was born.

Ibrahim’s collection is already impressive, but it may not stop here. As the gaming world continues with new console generation, and with the Nintendo Switch 2 expected to be coming out next year, his collection will continue to get bigger.

The PlayStation 5 potentially nearing the end of its life cycle, and with rumors of a PlayStation 6 or a new Xbox by 2027 or 2028, Ibrahim may need to expand his setup even further to accommodate even more.

While his collection is extraordinary, it’s interesting to note that the record for the largest collection of playable gaming systems doesn’t belong to Ibrahim. That title is held by Linda Guillory who has more than 2,430 playable gaming systems in her collection.

Despite not holding the record for the largest collection, Ibrahim’s achievement of connecting 444 gaming consoles to a single TV is still pretty remarkable, and just shows his love and passion for gaming.
