However, it has not all been smooth sailing for Korean studio, Nexon, in the early months of the game’s release with players quick to point out flaws in the game’s systems that have impacted their time in the futuristic world.

With the scope for a lot of creative builds stemming from a variety of playable characters embodying the titular Descendants, Nexon’s latest offering has the potential to achieve greatness in a genre that has become quite crowded of late.

However, the game’s mechanics may impede its progress with player feedback, considering that various issues are considered. However, Nexon has been quite responsive to such suggestions, acting swiftly in order to stay ahead of the curve and manage its players’ expectations quite well.

The Descendants’ Balancing Aids the Vulgus

Although the Descendants’ multitude of abilities are their greatest strength against the Vulgus, the alien antagonists of The First Descendant’s futuristic setting, many players have begun to find that they could perhaps be fine-tuned to be more effective in the field.

While other issues like the game’s ammo management systems have come under fire in the past, a recent issue on the game’s subreddit points to the Descendant’s inability to act on their own in battle, leading to heavy losses in combat.

The issue is focused on supporting characters who are unable to play their part unless controlled by a player. Coupled with Tank characters’ inability to draw enemy fire, it’s an issue that has ruined many thrilling encounters for players on the thread.

Nexon should be encouraging creative combinations that employ tactics and strategy in combat – which would help the game feel less repetitive in the long run.
