Fans have loved him ever since he was featured in the second episode of the series. The Pirate Hunter has come out on top in several decisive battles that bring him one step closer to his dream of becoming the Best Swordsman in the World.

However, his greatest battle is yet to come, where sooner or later he will be facing Shiryu of the Blackbeard Pirates, where his ability to cut nothing will be subjected to extreme trials. Fans of the Moss Head are extremely nervous, as a fan theory claims that even Observation Haki can’t reveal the location of the Clear-Clear Fruit.

Shiryu’s Devil Fruit is Bad News for His Foes!

In the recent chapters of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece, the Blackbeard Pirates have grown to be one of the most notorious pirate crews in the OP verse. After all, Marshall D. Teach has taken some of the most infamous names under his Jolly Roger, one of them being Shiryu of the Rain.

The former Warden of Impel Down Prison was ill-famed for being a bloodthirsty man, trying to kill people at any given opportunity. After killing Absalom, he ate the Suke Suke no Mi, which permits its user the ability to turn invisible, making him a clear human.

However, a fan theory follows the antagonist and his fruit as he is going to battle the Pirate Hunter. According to a fan theory shared in r/OnePiece, the user mentioned that they have come to an interesting theory following the Suke Suke no Mi (Clear Clear Fruit).

The fan mentioned how the fruit grants its user to be invisible to the naked eye, but can also make the user invisible to Observation Haki as well. To further reinforce their theory, they stated that when Doflamingo tried to kill Gecko Moria, suddenly the Warlord vanished and Doffie could not find him.

Since Doflamingo can use Observation Haki, the notion of the Suke Suke no Mi grants its user invisibility from Observation Haki as well.

Moreover, it would make much more sense if the fruit grants complete invisibility from the Haki type because people could not sense his presence, granting him the pass to kill as many people as he pleases.

Hence, this makes fans want to see the fight between the two swordsmen, which, in all probability, is going to break the internet because fans want to witness how the Moss Head will cut something that can’t be seen or felt.

Roronoa Zoro’s Ability To Cut Nothing Will Be Pushed To the Edge

As fans know, Roronoa Zoro has the goal of becoming the greatest swordsman in the world to fulfill the promise made to his childhood friend, Shimotsuki Kuina. Hence, the Vice-Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates would defeat every swordsman in the OP world to become the very best.

Hence, Shiryu automatically becomes his opponent in the Shonen series. However, a question looms in the minds of the fans: how can he cut his foe that can’t be touched? Such a situation was faced by the swordsman in the past as well, when he fought Daz Bonez, also known as Mr. 1.

During the fight, when Zoro was unable to cut Mr. 1’s steel body, he had a flashback featuring his sensei, Koushiro, who taught him the ability to cut nothing. After the flashback, he cut his foe’s steel body as if he were butter.

According to another fan theory in r/OnePiece, a fan stated that natural frequency has a key role in acquiring this skill. They believe that this frequency is the vibration emitted from an object when it’s hit. Hence, the series can be used in “two separate ways: Resonating with it, or matching it.”

Hence, resonating a weak vibration with a strong vibration can lead to giving the sword an upper edge, which will make cutting easier. On the other hand, matching the frequency can help it possibly slip through the “empty space,” where it could phase right through it.

Hence, Zoro must master this skill because it will make his battle with Shiryu more interesting and make his final battle with Dracule Mihawk all the more exciting, which will help him achieve his dream.

One Piece is currently available to watch on Crunchyroll.
