Although the duo have a twisted fate in the Mad Max saga, they share a great bond in real life. It was reflected when they talked about accents, particularly the Australian accent.

Chris Hemsworth has become a household name with his globally acclaimed role of Thor Odinson in Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Apart from his superhero role, he has continued to expand his portfolio in a variety of roles, including his latest work in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
In the movie, he plays Warlord Dementus, the antagonist who is the leader of the Biker Horde that abducts a young Furiosa, played by Alyla Browne as a child (and later by Anya Taylor-Joy as an adult).
Back in May, he appeared alongside The Witch actress in a hilarious episode of Agree to Disagree, the duo discussed whether the Australian accent is the sexiest or not.
As the actress discussed other accents that she found attractive like French and Italian, the Australian accent was not met with the same enthusiasm. While she didn’t particularly say she hated it, Hemsworth set the facts straight by clearly stating that he “hate it.” This prompted her to say,
You’re allowed to say… I do like French. I think the French accent is very nice. Italian’s also nice. The Argentine accent’s very nice, but I’m biased.
That led the former to tease her as he started talking in an Australian accent,
‘How you going, babe? Give us a kiss, honey. You’re looking hot.’
The Marvel actor’s sexy talk efforts left the actress stunned, who burst out into laughter. In the end, she shared that she had been watching Married at First Sight Australia, claiming that it was intense.
Eventually, the conversation ended with the Australian-born actor confirming that the accent is surely not the sexiest. Well, the accent department is something that she is quite familiar with as she once made a candid admission that she changes it all the time.

While her performances have captivated audiences’ attention, one other aspect has left audiences in awe – her shifting accent. Unlike many who intentionally develop a certain way of speaking, Taylor-Joy’s accent changes are almost uncontrollable.
The actress spilled the beans on the topic, stating that her upbringing is the major factor that led to this outcome.
During a 2020 appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan (now known as Kelly and Mark), she shared insights into how her multinational background affected her accent.
Born in the United States, she moved to Argentina as an infant, where she spent her early years immersed in Spanish. Thereafter, her family relocated to London, leading her to face a significant language barrier—she didn’t speak English.
The thing is, I have an English accent whenever I am talking to my mom but because it is not my first language I tend to mimic the people I am around and it is really difficult to keep it together
However, the experience left a deep impact on her language as she found herself unconsciously mimicking the accents of those around her.
Since English wasn’t her first language, she had to adapt herself to the environment, which somehow ended up becoming a habit, that she still struggles with.
