New Adventures in Sniper Elite: Resistance
Unlike the previous numbered entries, this game takes a different approach, focusing on a new protagonist, Harry Hawker, an agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE). The story dives into the dark and treacherous world of occupied France during World War II.
Hawker stumbles upon a terrifying Nazi Wunderwaffe, a weapon that, if unleashed, could change the course of the war. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, players must navigate through this intense standalone campaign that runs parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5.
As Hawker, players will experience the gritty reality of World War II espionage once again, facing deadly foes and uncovering dark secrets. The game’s developers have emphasized that this installment will push the boundaries of what fans have come to expect, with advanced gunplay physics that aim to make each shot feel more impactful and authentic.
The game also brings back the popular Invasion Mode. Additionally, multiplayer enthusiasts have something to look forward to, with online modes returning, so there’s plenty of content for both solo and competitive playstyles.
A Mixed Reception to Last-Gen Support
While the reveal of Sniper Elite: Resistance was met with widespread excitement, some fans voiced concerns about the game’s cross-generation release. The game is set to launch in 2025 and will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Game Pass Day One.
