Keanu Reeves is often the first name that comes to our minds when we talk about action and adventure roles, so naturally, he is a fan favorite actor of several video game fans. After his portrayal of Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, Reeves will now be playing Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. But apparently, those aren’t the only video game roles he has done, for according to fans, Reeves, might be starring in Amazon’s upcoming Secret Level.
Keanu Reeves in Amazon’s Secret Level Series?
In a first, Amazon is bringing the story of several iconic video games to the small screen through its adult-animated anthology series, Secret Level. Featuring several original short stories from some of the most popular video games of our times, it will have 15 episodes in total.
From several PlayStation games to stories from Dungeons & Dragons, Exodus, Warhammer 40,000, and more, each episode will feature stories based on a single video game. A first-of-its-kind series, it is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Blur Studio and will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video across the world (via Amazon).
While fans are geared up and excited to witness the animated spectacle it is slated to be, many believe they spotted The Matrix star Keanu Reeves in one of the episodes of the series based on the Armored Core franchise.
A rumor went viral after Armored Core’s official X account posted the announcement of the episode on their official X account, but nothing has been confirmed by Reeves or Amazon yet. While the character bears an uncanny resemblance to the star, Prime Video refused to make cast announcements when ComicBook.com recently reached out to them.
While we can only speculate, fans are convinced it is none other than Reeves in the said episode.
Fans Convinced Keanu Reeves is Going to Be in Amazon’s Secret Level
Developed by FormSoftware, Armored Core is a third-person shooter mecha video game, featuring piloting customizable mechs, known as Armored Cores, in various combat scenarios. Known for its deep customization options, challenging gameplay, and complex narratives set in a dystopian future, the franchise has a wide fan base with its name at the top of the list in the mecha action genre.
So the possibility of Keanu Reeves starring in Secret Level’s Armored Core episode is keeping fans on the edge. As Armored Core’s tweet went viral, fans are convinced it is none other than John Wick star:
While there is a possibility that it might not be Reeves at all, fans are 100% sure it is Reeves, for the resemblance is too great to not think so. As we await the cast reveal or confirmation from either the actor or Amazon Studios, there is no denying that fans are already eagerly anticipating the release of Secret Level, and the potential appearance of Keanu Reeves has only added to the excitement.
Secret Level will be released on Prime Video on December 10, 2024.
