Gamescom Opening Night Live revealed many games that took audiences by surprise. Civilization 7 happens to be one of those experiences, and looks like there’s a familiar voice who’s going to set the tone for the upcoming game.
For the next game in the series, Gwendoline Christie will play the role of the narrator. The popular Game of Thrones actress is in favor of the game’s community, as fans look forward to her performance in Civilization 7.
Gwendoline Christie’s Role in Civilization 7
In the previous game, Sean Bean voices the narrator who speaks about ongoing events as players progress through the game. From historical tidbits to inspirational quotes, the narrator plays a crucial role in the game.
However, it looks like Ned Stark from Game of Thrones isn’t the only one who’s part of the saga. Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne of Tarth in the show, is going to be the voice of Civilization 7.
This news is being superbly well-received by fans, and marks as an important reminder of how crucial it is for the game to have great actors voicing important parts of the narrative.

The Game Revamps Many More Gameplay Systems
A new narrator isn’t the only novelty developers have planned for players. Civilization 7 has a lot more to look forward to, such as the introduction of new mechanics, revamped visuals, and a game system that aims at keeping things diverse and special.
The game’s approach to cultural uniqueness has been spoken about at length by developers, and it’s the narrator’s role to voice it as the game progresses. Usually, it starts from simple explanations of the nature of things to essential quotes from great people who came before us.
