The developer shared the PC specs for Dragon Age: The Veilguard nearly a week ago that it very reasonable for a modern game and players appreciated it. BioWare has now detailed how it has prepared the game for the best PC experience for players.

It stated that the franchise started on PC and added, “we wanted to make sure PC is a great place to play our game.” As per the developer, 40% of the platform testing was done on PC including more than 200,000 hours of performance and compatibility testing.

The studio created a PC dedicated team saying that “getting the PC experience just right was crucial to us.” The team did nearly 10,000 hours of user research tests to make sure the controls and UI, on both keyboard and mouse and controllers were up to the mark.

The game will have native support for PS5 DualSense controllers with haptics feedback and support of Xbox controllers as well as keyboard and mouse. Players can also swap between controllers and keyboard and mouse while playing or in-menu. They can also customize class-specific keybinds.

The game not only has standard resolution options, it will also support for 21:9 Ultrawide monitors. Moreover, players have the option to disable the ‘Cinematic Aspect Ratio’ to enjoy the cinematics at its fullest on the wide screen. Players can also adjust FOV with an FOV slider in the Settings.

There will also be an option for uncapped framerate and the game launches with full HDR support. Any changes to graphics and display settings will be seen in real time and BioWare has also paid a lot of attention to make the experience better for players playing via Steam.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is completely Steam Native and Steam Deck Verified, also supporting Cloud Save on Steam. This means that players can switch between Steam Deck and PC as per their preference. Remote Play is also enabled and EA Account linking is completely optional.
