With major additions to the core gameplay, Civilization 7 is going to feel like a fresh take on the series’ iconic gameplay loop. For instance, the introduction of Ages ensures that players get to experience different eras in the game, which enriches a civilization’s vibe.

Furthermore, mixing and matching civilizations will let players build more strategic diversity, leading to a gameplay experience that keeps bringing them back, rather than being a one-time-only adventure.

There’s also a chance that Civilization 7 feels like the first game in the series that’s highly dynamic. With shifting eras and blending of leaders and civilizations, it’s natural to expect the game to keep its novelty long after a player journeys through their first game.
