Despite a recent delay pushing the game to early 2025, Obsidian has provided more details about a key aspect of the game that players have been eagerly anticipating. In a recent interview, the development team behind Avowed revealed that the game will feature more than 10 different endings, all depending on the choices players make throughout the story.
Unsurprisingly, reactions on social media platforms like X have been overwhelmingly positive, with many users saying this was one of the features they most wanted to see in the game.
Obsidian Confirms a Major Feature of Avowed
The creators of the renowned and popular Fallout: New Vegas are diligently working on Avowed, a game that has experienced yet another delay to February next year.
This role-playing game, which blends first-person action with a deep narrative full of colorful characters, has revealed a key detail that fans were eagerly awaiting. The studio has extensive experience with this type of game, and with each new title, they have continued to surpass themselves.
In a recent interview with IGN at Gamescom Studio, a member of the Obsidian team revealed a crucial detail that players were excited to learn. It appears the game will feature multiple alternative endings that players will discover based on the various decisions they make throughout the adventure.
The game’s director, Carrie Patel, confirmed that there will be numerous endings, reaching double digits.
The Studio Is Back With a Big and Ambitious Game
Some users think that this number of endings might be misleading, as these often turn out to be variations rather than truly distinct endings, with only two real alternatives. This is the case with titles like Nier: Automata, which supposedly has 26 different endings.
Fortunately, Avowed doesn’t aim for such a high number, but expects at least more than 10. Many players who have been following the studio’s work are eager to experience it for themselves.
Obsidian has a strong reputation, with several popular games released in recent years. One of their most ambitious titles, The Outer Worlds, launched in 2019, was a space adventure with well-crafted characters and witty dialogue.
Of course, as a role-playing game, it will feature various character classes to create, with nearly limitless build potential. The players want to experience all the features that this universe has.
Avowed is set to launch on February 18 for Xbox Series S/X, PC, and will be available on Game Pass from day one. Microsoft originally planned to release the game this year but decided to postpone it to the new date to allow the studio additional time to refine all aspects and guarantee optimal quality.
Many fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to try out the latest from this studio, which has produced so many outstanding titles.
