The disappointment for Xbox fans continues, and the community’s frustration has reached a breaking point. A series of bad news stories in just a few days has made the perception of the brand more negative than ever.
The fact that Indiana Jones is no longer an exclusive game, that Avowed will only run at 30 fps, and that Black Myth Wukong is currently exclusive to Sony’s console and PC has rendered Microsoft’s hardware practically obsolete. The future of this gaming company doesn’t look so bright for console owners.
In Addition to Indiana Jones No Longer Being Exclusive, There’s More Bad News for Xbox
Xbox fans have had a pretty tough week due to a particular piece of news regarding the exclusivity of one of the year’s most anticipated games.
Gamescom 2024 confirmed the release of Indiana Jones on PS5, ending its exclusivity on Microsoft’s consoles. Unfortunately, this isn’t the only bad news for the owners of this company’s hardware. Major titles continue to bypass this platform.
Today’s confirmation that Black Myth Wukong sold more than 10 million units in just three days of availability exacerbates Xbox owners’ resentment of the brand.
So glad I switched to pc. Too bad I can't take my 400 games in my xbox digital library with me 🤣

Microsoft’s platform did not receive the game from the Chinese studio Game Science. Understandably, all users of this hardware are quite disappointed to keep losing out on important games. The systematic downfall of Xbox is imminent.
Avowed Adds Another Problem for Players
Another piece of bad news for Xbox fans is that Obsidian’s upcoming title, Avowed, will face performance limitations on consoles and won’t run above 30 fps on both the Series S and X.
This isn’t the first time a console with lower technical specifications has posed a problem for developers, limiting the performance of a big-budget title. The bad news just keeps piling up, and the brand is receiving all the backlash.
Regarding console-exclusive games, the fact that many major titles aren’t being released for Xbox is becoming quite common. Many studios know that even if they release a game on this hardware, it’s unlikely to achieve sufficient sales to justify the investment in adapting it.
Microsoft is going through one of its most unstable periods regarding strategies and financial decisions; the company doesn’t know what to do to increase sales.
Many players fear that, in the future, the console will lose exclusives altogether and instead opt to release all games on all platforms to boost sales.
There are many rumors that games like Starfield or even Gears of War will be released on Sony’s platform. Microsoft’s gaming division seems completely lost when it comes to understanding its own community and gamers in general.
