The executives and Eiichiro Oda have already taken a step towards success by getting the perfect actors to play Dr. Kureha and Fr. Hiriluk. Katey Sagal and Mark Harelik’s casting has been perfect from every angle. With that thought, the fans believe Xolo Maridueña could be the perfect actor to play live-action Portgas D. Ace.

Portgas D. Ace is one of the most crucial characters in One Piece. He is also the son of Pirate King Gol D. Roger, Monkey D. Luffy’s brother, and Second Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. He made his debut during the Alabasta arc. It is unclear whether season two will feature the Alabasta arc. The fans did not want to take any chance with the casting and unanimously voted Xolo Maridueña to be the perfect actor to land the role.

Ace ate the Mera Mera no Mi and is a master in hand-to-hand combat. Xolo Maridueña plays the role of Miguel Diaz in Cobra Kai and can pretty well play the role of a martial artist. On top of that, the actor also starred in DC’s Blue Beetle, justifying his versatility as an actor. Being familiar with both martial arts and superhero parts, Maridueña will have no problem becoming the live-action Portgas D. Ace.

Apart from his abilities, his physical attributes also match the Fire Human. The wavy hair, strong build, a tall physique are similar to Luffy’s brother. Fans think even Eiichiro Oda will have to agree with them on this decision. Ace’s entry in season two has not been confirmed, but if it does happen, no one will be a better fit than the Cobra Kai and Blue Beetle actor. Moreover, Iñaki Godoy and Xolo Maridueña have already bonded over an interview.

Xolo Maridueña Is Not The Only One One Piece Fans Voted For

Xolo Maridueña as Ace is a dream come true for the One Piece fans, but he is not the only actor they voted for. Apart from Ace, fans have also found the perfect actor to play Sir Crocodile. According to them, Magic Mike‘s famed actor, Joe Manganiello, could become the live-action Sir Crocodile. Currently, nothing has been finalized, and the fans are just making predictions. But the choices are pretty manga-accurate.

Even Eiichiro Oda and Matt Owens could have a hard time finding a better cast than the mentioned ones. Netflix’s One Piece Live Action season two will have multiple debutants, and out of them, only a few have been confirmed. So, the fans are still keeping their fingers crossed on Xolo Maridueña and Joe Manganiello. Ultimately, the vesting rights remain on the creator of the One Piece, Eiichiro Oda.

One Piece Live Action is currently available to watch on Netflix.
