In the One Piece world, the strongest pirate and their crew are given the title of Yonko, which means the Emperor of the Sea. For the longest time, the terror of these Emperors has maintained a balance in the seas, and within these Emperors, there was one who was known as the Strongest Creature in the world. The Governor-General of the Beast Pirates, Kaido.

Kaido’s title of The Strongest Creature fits perfectly for the character, as there were very few characters in One Piece who could have challenged him. While he lost to Luffy during the Wano arc, his reign as an Emperor of the Sea is still considered to be one of the strongest. In fact, many One Piece fans believed that if Kaido had fought Luffy with his full potential, he would have even beaten Gear 5.

Thus, by portraying Kaido’s strength to such a level, Eiichiro Oda might have created a big problem for himself as he would now have to bring a character who could beat Kaido in terms of power. And besides Gorosei and Imu, there might not be another pirate who will be able to live up to these expectations.

Kaido’s Feats During The Wano Arc

Kaido’s strength as the Strongest Creature was known all over the One Piece world, as even the Navy and Marines were afraid to launch an attack on his territory. His past and backstory that were shown during the Wano arc were the perfect representation of his power since the beginning. However, his real strength was shown during the Onigashima raid.

His first battle was against the nine red scabbards, comprising of Kinemon, Denjiro, Kikunojo, Raizo, Inuarashi, Nekomamushi, Kawamatsu, Ashura, and Izo. They were some of the strongest characters, but Kaido defeated them with little effort. After this, he went on to face members of the Worst Generation, particularly Luffy and Zoro.

Although he had some difficulties initially, he managed to take down Zoro and Luffy to the point where Zoro needed medical attention. After that, he took down his own son, Yamato, who was on par with Zoro and Sanji. And finally, he fought Luffy, whom he defeated three times and ultimately lost to Gear 5. This in itself proves the sheer strength of the captain of the Beast Pirates.

One Piece Might Not Show Another Character As Strong As Kaido

Kaido’s power scaling throughout One Piece is something that cannot be rivaled even by the likes of Shanks and Blackbeard. Thus, this proves to be a problem for Eiichiro Oda, who has yet to unfold the complete story of the final saga. As One Piece specifically focuses on the pirate world, Oda might have to introduce a character who might be stronger, if not equal to Kaido in terms of strength.

This would be a difficult task, as within the known list of the pirates remaining in the New World, there might not be one who could rival Kaido. This is why many fans believe that from now on, the story will shift more toward other aspects of One Piece, like the mysteries of the Ancient Kingdom, the tyranny of the World Government, etc.

As One Piece has entered the final saga and is done with its first arc, there is little to no chance that Kaido will make a return to the series. But it won’t change the fact that there won’t be another pirate who could come close to him or even compete with him for the title of the strongest in the One Piece world.
