One Piece live-action proved to be a life-changing project for Godoy, not only for the role and fame it brought but also because he also got some great friends in the form of Emily Rudd, who plays Nami, Mackenyu, who plays Roronoa Zoro, Taz Skylar, who plays Sanji, and Jacob Romero, who plays Usopp.

As the Luffy actor posted about his birthday on the social media platform, his “nakamas” wished him in the most unique way possible. While Rudd was seen depicting the events of the birthday celebration Godoy had in Vegas, Mackenyu went for the traditional Zoro approach and ‘got lost.’

Straw Hats Crew Wish Iñaki Godoy In The Most Unique Way

Godoy, Mackenyu, Rudd, Skylar, and Jacob Romero built a great bond while filming the first season of One Piece live-action, which was pretty evident from their post-release interviews, social media interactions, and their synchronicity in Netflix’s adaptation. Another great depiction of their friendly bond was seen when their “captain” posted his birthday celebration on Instagram.

While Taz Skylar went on to wish him cutely by expressing his love for his fellow actor, Rudd chose to ‘expose’ Godoy’s risky endeavors during his celebration.

The Nami actor pointed out that Godoy went all out to party in Las Vegas as he indulged himself in booze and gambling. While this was a joke, it certainly reflected their goofy relationship with each other.

As Emily Rudd chose the trolling way to wish Godoy his 21st, Mackenyu went down the One Piece route and brought out his inner Zoro. He expectedly got lost for the Luffy actor’s birthday celebration and was seen asking his location to go and find him.

One Piece Fans Are All For Mackenyu’s Depiction of Zoro

Mackenyu was one of the most loved One Piece live-action actors who portrayed Zoro’s role to perfection. He not only brought out the confident, brooding side of the Straw Hat’s swordsman but also included the comedic elements of pre-time skip Zoro.

He went so in with these comedic aspects that he has started using them in real life with his friends from the series.

And One Piece fans are loving this side of Mackenyu. Thus, they went on to X to point out Mackenyu’s portrayal of Zoro in real life.

Iñaki Godoy’s friendship with his fellow actors prove that he is Luffy in real life and his bond with them is as strong as the future Pirate King. This relationship will be soon seen with the release of One Piece live-action season 2 which is reportedly under production.

One Piece live-action is available to watch on Netflix.
