Throughout the anime, we see Goten as a carefree individual like Goku, living his life but also someone with common sense. That’s because he was raised by Chi-Chi once Goku departed to the Otherworld after the Cell Saga.

He was somewhat mischievous too, courtesy of Trunks, with whom he later fuses on to become Gotenks to fight Majin Buu. We see both of them going on to pursue many antics together.

He looked up to his elder brother Gohan and was the only one admiring the Great Saiyaman suit, something that embarrassed everyone who came across it. However, his opinion of it changes during Dragon Ball Super.
