The drama around It Ends With Us has been concerning, to say the least. While no official statements have been made, fans have seen enough moves being made and sources coming out of the woodwork to be convinced that the feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is very much real.
While this has only acted as more press for the film, it would seem that its consequences have finally harmed the series in quite a concerning way. It was recently reported that the sequel to the film, It Starts With Us, may not happen because of all of the drama, and in this time of need, fans turn to none other than Ryan Reynolds.
The End of It Ends With Us?
There has been a very public feud between the stars of It Ends With Us. Early into the press tour, fans noticed that Justin Baldoni was doing his leg of the interviews for the film on his own, with the rest of the cast appearing alongside Blake Lively.
This caused many to wonder what exactly was going on. As more and more reports started to come out about a feud between the two stars and the kind of message they were trying to put out through the film, fans began to pick sides.
Recently, it was reported by DiscussingFilm on X that all of the controversy and conversation around the movie could have potentially hurt its chances of getting a sequel. The controversial author, Colleen Hoover, created It Ends With Us as a part of a duology, with the second book, It Starts With Us, having come out in 2022.
The second film seemed to be in trouble now as Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, would have greenlighted a sequel for it to begin its production. Considering all of the drama surrounding the movie and how many attempts have been made to antagonize the actor, it is highly likely the sequel will not happen.
This would also be quite surprising since the movie ended up making ten times its budget, earning $250 million on a budget of $25 million.
Fans Turn To Ryan Reynolds
As soon as the possibility hit the internet, fans were quick to worry about It Ends With Us and its future. Some fans marveled at the amount of money the movie made and were convinced that eventually, the stars would come back with the profits as a motivator.
At the same time, many were concerned that nothing would come from the sequel considering just how much controversy and drama has surrounded the work. While most fans were focused on the film itself, others thought of another possible solution to the problem.
When it comes to the entire feud surrounding the movie, Ryan Reynolds has managed to not get his hands dirty even though he was involved in the film as a writer. Despite being married to Blake Lively and being on her side when it comes to all that is happening, fans do believe that he can provide some aid and help his wife and Justin Baldoni resolve their issues.
It is safe to say that only time will tell fans about the future of their beloved series.
