GTA V may be a decade and a year old but it is holding up well against other open-world games in 2024. The gaming community knows the entire map of the reimagined state of San Andreas like the back of their heads as they fall in love with the beautiful scenery and relate to the miserable characters.

Rockstar Games has been making video games for the past 25 years and has shown immense improvement year after year. The studio struck gold not just with the concept and themes in each project but with the endearing performances of the talented actors.

Rockstar Games has significantly left a positive impact on the gaming industry after it showed the true potential of open-world sandbox games. The studio wanted to give the players a fictional world to explore, inflicting their will and doing whatever they please without thinking of the consequences, and to accomplish a series of missions to progress a compelling narrative.

The gaming company was bound for greatness and took the time to reflect and honor older projects in current games like a cutscene from GTA V Online inspired by a recent project. The studio pays homage to its roots and fans just discovered a connection between Grand Theft Auto V and the spiritual predecessor of an iconic Western franchise.

Fans were in disbelief to learn Robert Bogue went from a bounty and gunslinger in Western folktale to a miserable and corrupt bureaucrat. It is a testament to Bogue’s range as an actor and a welcome sight to see.

Steve Haines is a dirty FIB agent willing to get his hands dirty for his twisted ideologies of freedom and patriotism, and the gaming community believes it is a massive downgrade from an honorable loner who is adamant about bringing justice to those who wronged him and his family.

The Red Dead franchise kicked off after the studio saw the potential in the first game and decided to go all in. The initial teaser for the first game featuring John Marston blew the community away and Rockstar Games did not expect the success and universal praise.

Robert Bogue must have had an interesting transition between portraying a gunslinger and a corrupt bureaucrat. These games and their characters could take a toll on the actor but Bogue managed to nail each role flawlessly and make everyone relish killing Haines during the final mission of GTA V.

From an outlaw to a complete scumbag, Bogue understood the assignment and delivered tenfold. Unfortunately, talented voice actors are not getting enough credit and recognition for their craft.

Other voice actors would proceed from one project to the next without giving much thought to their assignment. Bogue gave it his all to make each performance distinct and unique.

There is a strong likelihood that other voice actors went on and took other odd jobs that make them unrecognizable. Still, it is cool to see how far they have come.
