Tatum is known for his roles in films like Step Up and Magic Mike and hence, knows how to entertain his fans. While his Gambit cameo may have been glorious, nothing beats his performance to Beyoncé’s ‘Run The World (Girls)’ on the show Lip Sync Battle, where he brought Queen Bey herself on stage.

The Spike show Lip Sync Battle has seen some pop culture-defining performances. While Tom Holland’s dance to Rihanna’s Umbrella went viral and has been referred to many times through popular memes, Channing Tatum’s performance of Beyoncé’s Run the World (Girls) was equally, if not more, entertaining.

Dressed in a blonde wig and wearing a dress, Channing Tatum embodied Queen Bey’s raw power in his performance as he began the routine on a horse statue and went on to give a seductive and entertaining performance. His then-wife Jenna Dewan was also on stage enjoying the performance along with hosts LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen.

While Tatum’s exact recreation of the routine was a hit with the fans, the performance went to a whole new level when Beyoncé herself appeared on stage and shook a leg with Tatum. Fans seemed to go wild at the Queen’s entrance and while her routine only lasted a few seconds, it seemed to have stolen the show.

Another Lip Sync Battle starring Jenna Bewan this time, recreating the Pony routine from Channing Tatum’s Magic Mike has also been considered equally iconic.

Channing Tatum is reportedly no stranger to surprising his fans as he made a welcome cameo in the recently released Deadpool & Wolverine. Tatum finally got to play Gambit, the card-wielding mutant from the X-Men universe in the film, albeit in just an extended cameo.

Tatum reportedly worked on getting a solo Gambit film mounted at Fox Studios for many years with his producing partner Reid Caroline. While there were some updates, the project was shelved after the studio’s acquisition by Disney. Now that he has made his MCU debut, Tatum reportedly hoped for a solo film to finally happen (via Variety),

I sure hope so. From your mouth to God’s ears. Write it into existence, my friend. Please…Of course, I’ve said it. I’ve been saying I want it for the last 10 years. It’s in Bob Iger and Kevin Feige’s hands. I pray to God.

The actor also penned a heartfelt note to Ryan Reynolds, thanking him for making it happen as he had thought that his dream was gone forever (via X).
