The protagonist not only stands out in the series but also in the whole anime scene, as he is the most globally recognized character. A major reason behind the enormous fan following of the character is how the viewers have grown up with him.

Toriyama-Sensei has featured the Saiyan as a young boy having a family of his own over the tenure of the series, even becoming a grandfather. As a result, fans have felt close to him, but as they grow older, they often wonder how their favorite Saiyan will look when the series finally concludes.

Fans do not have to keep their heads scratching because before Akira Toriyama passed away, he answered the fans’ queries by drawing an illustration of how our beloved protagonist would look like an old-timer.

The very thought of Goku transforming into a Super Saiyan for the last time would get the fans immensely disheartened because the show has been a part of our childhood. Hence, the very thought of the last chapter of the manga would surely ruin the day of the ardent fans of the show.

Nevertheless, that day is far away, because before the mangaka passed away unexpectedly at the age of 68, he was working on Dragon Ball DAIMA. The show is going to be a canon series and is going to feature the Z-Warriors in their kid form and will go on an adventure of their own.
