The next chapter in the popular franchise is right on the horizon. However, Saber Interactive still hasn’t confirmed a lot of aspects about the game, including its performance on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. This situation has put a lot of gamers in distress as they’re worried that the upcoming Warhammer 40K game could be yet another title locked at 30 FPS.

Recently, Focus Entertainment revealed Space Marine 2‘s specifications for PC Gamers. The game is supposed to run at 30 FPS in 1920×1080 at “Low” preset and 60 FPS with the “Ultra” preset. PC gamers are quite excited to dive into the game and experience the sci-fi adventure in all its glory.

Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for console gamers. Even though the title is less than two weeks away from its official launch, the developers still haven’t confirmed the console performance of the game. This has led to a number of fans raising concerns about the title’s performance.

In the past, we’ve seen many developers following this pattern and ultimately releasing a disappointing console port of a game. One name that comes to mind is CD Projekt Red with Cyberpunk 2077.

The developers didn’t say a single word about the game’s performance on base Xbox One and PS4 consoles and promised everyone that it would be well- optimized. In the end, that didn’t end up happening, and the game’s performance was abysmal.

As the release date approaches, Saber Interactive has already confirmed a wide range of customization features, as well as support for Space Marine 2. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that they give us an update on the game’s performance on the console, as a launch without a 60 FPS mode would be truly disappointing.

While it’s concerning that console players are still being kept in the dark about Space Marine 2‘s performance, the developers have shared something that will surely excite everyone! The upcoming title will be free from the trap of microtransactions, and all the in-game content will be available for absolute relief.

The news might come as a relief to many gamers, as Space Marine 2 will feature several unique multiplayer modes that will take a similar structure to a live service model.

However, the game will still feature a traditional season pass and paid DLC in the future, though it will include only optional items that don’t give purchasers any sort of tactical advantages in-game.

It’s currently unknown whether the battle system will also require gamers to pay to access it, but with the promise that all of the future content comes free of cost, it’s unlikely it will contain anything too significant.

Warhammer 40K fans can be assured that the upcoming Space Marine game will be free of the usual live-service elements that have plagued the gaming industry in recent years.
